Dear Airport Neighbor,
Work has begun on a Runway Safety Area (RSA) project to make sure that each runway end at Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport (GMIA) has a 1,000 ft. object-free safety area to prevent injury in case an aircraft overshoots the runway end. A newsletter describing this project was sent to airport neighbors in April 2008. The RSA is a federally-mandated project for all U.S. airports.
GMIA invites you to sign up below for an email newsletter that will keep you informed about airfield projects that cause changes in flight patterns or frequency.
